Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (8oz/225g) butter
- 1/2 cup light brown suga)
- 80g white granulated/caster sugar
- 1 1/4cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chunk
- Instructions
- Whisk the flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl. Set aside.
In a separate bowl melt the butter. Add in both white and brown sugars and whisk vigorously, add in one egg stirring until it's fully mixed in, add vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir with the spatula to fully combine. Stir in the chocolate chips. Put in fridge to chilled and firm up. - IMPORTANT NOTE: Chill the dough for a minimum of 1 hour.
- Bake the cookies at 180°C for 12 minutes
- Once out of the oven bang the hot pan on the counter a few times to create crinkles on top of the cookie Store them at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days
